We all know that the sky is changeable - but I never knew how fast it changed until I started trying to capture a photo of it. I would be driving along and think I'll get this shot as soon as I get to a parking lot or to the top of the hill - but it would be too late in just seconds. This was another morning shot on the way to work this week.

Beautiful. I love a good mix in the sky. We've had that here a lot lately.
This reminds me of the scene in Girl with the Pearl Earring when Vermeer asks the maid (oh, what was her name) what colors are in the clouds. It's a very dramatic photo, Diane.
What a great capture anyway.. I know just what you mean though.. I have thought that looks good, nip in to get the camera and the shapes gone..
Tom
This certainly is a beautiful sky.

Great sky watch! Beautiful clouds on your photo :) Hope you have the time to visit me :)
Beautiful image, excellent.
Nice! People think I'm crazy--well those who ride in the car with me--it's not uncommon for me to pull over and get down in the ditch take pictures on my commute. Nice to hear someone else does it too!
Greetings from Mohonk Mt. House in New Paltz, NY. My husband and I are here celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary. God certainly has blessed us.
Years ago when those in the know started to speak of photos being an art form, I was puzzled. You are not painting a scene; rather you are taking a picture of what is already there, I thought. So it couldn't be art. You are just taking a picture. But, of course, I was wrong. It certainly is art. And your photo, Diane, is a wonderful example of how good composition can change a photo into a superior work of art.
